Supporting Ifield School

BAFA is proud to have supported a fund-raising event by Ifield School at Maidstone Leisure Centre on Saturday 17th November. Many congratulations to Jason Owen (Gravesend Dynamite) and Maddy Jones (Ifield School) for organising a superb day of wheelchair sport including the first competitive game of BAFA’s new Wheelchair American Flag Football format. In front of some 30 spectators, members of Gravesend Dynamite played the North Wales Dragons in a ‘Wales vs Kent’ rugby 7s match, followed by a game of ‘Ultimate Frisbee’ (with a rugby ball) involving staff from Ifield School and Riverside School, followed by what could be the first competitive game of the new flag football format, and ending with a rugby 7s training session for the dynamite. The event was filmed by KMTV and should be aired this Monday (19th Nov) or next Monday (26th Nov) on their ‘Team Talk’ show.
If you would like to donate to Ifield School to help them build their new and much needed sports facilities, contact Maddy Jones (Head of School), Ifield Foundation Special School (01474 365485) or email isparc@ifield.kent.sch.uk
